Aaron Weiner
CPM®, CCIM, LEED® AP
Prior to starting Weiner Property Services, Mr. Weiner was Sr. Vice President at Newport Real Estate Services, Inc. where he oversaw The NRES Property Management Services team and played a lead role on the firm’s Corporate Advisory Services team. His thorough, meticulous, and creative style is evidenced in some of his key accomplishments:
Aaron was the primary account representative for the Kellogg Company Snacks Division, which has a portfolio of 58 leased locations in 33 states. He led the effort to locate sites, and negotiated 40+ new leases and renewals for Kellogg.
In 2003, Aaron executed the company’s first property management assignment on a troubled asset, and successfully turned that project around. Building on that success, he won a portfolio account with a large pension advisory client, which NRES still manages today. At the end of 2009, the Property Management Services division had 9.6MM SF under contract.
Aaron directed three medical office condominium developments in California from site selection, design, financing, and marketing to successful sell-out, generating over $4 million in profits for NRES and their financial partner.
Aaron has been a proven leader in the commercial real estate management and development industries since 1980. Prior to his joining Newport Real Estate Services, Inc., he held key executive management roles at CB Richard Ellis, Parker Properties, and Champion Development. He was responsible for portfolios of office, industrial and retail properties up to 20MM SF, including a significant number of distressed, bank owned buildings which required extensive renovation, leasing and positioning for final sale.
Aaron has worked extensively on all sides of the commercial real estate equation, serving landlords, tenants, banks and court appointed receivers. His expertise at lease negotiations and enforcement is highly valued by his clients.
Throughout his career, Mr. Weiner has been dedicated to continuing education and has achieved several professional accreditations, including Certified Property Manager® from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Certified Commercial Investment Member from the CCIM Institute, and LEED® AP from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Mr. Weiner also holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license.
Aaron’s community and philanthropic activities include the directorship of the IREM sponsored Orange County REstart Program which provides temporarily homeless parents career training and placement in the residential property management field. He also serves on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Orange County (JFOC) Real Estate Council.
Aaron was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University.
